Going Out on a School Night

So last night I got in from Christmas shopping and I called my buddy Joe Fuda. You see, Joe had me apply some cartoon special effects to some photos he took of Tokyo Police Club and I was checking in to see how he liked it. He loved it, and he asked me if I wanted to go along to Footwork where there was a woman from a band in the 80s who was spinning. On the way, we bumped into his friend Lisa D, and she's a riot. So we took her with us. We got to the club, and in two seconds flat I met K-Os, which was nice cuz I'd been wanting to meet him. I had watched him host RapCity earlier that day or the previous night, and he played all rap videos from my favorite era, the early 90s. After clinking glasses with K-Os, I bumped into Anna Cyzon. Anna is a beauty, a Myspace friend for ages but we've kept missing each other round the way. Now we finally got to meet. Then me and Lisa D and another friend named Emily ripped the dancefloor a new one. Joe Fuda took a whole bunch of pictures on account of how he's a photographer, and we all lived happily ever after.

rehearsal time

For the last two shows, we have not had any luck securing a rehearsal room to practice for it. We have been using a particular store after it's closed. We go in at night, move the cash register and calculator and fridge magnet display aside to make room for the turntable set-up, plug everything into the store's stereo system, and rock out. We make sure it's late so that the other businesses below, beside, and above the store will not be disturbed, but this week the violin maker upstairs stayed late. We kept hearing him banging around really loudly, and we had to wonder if it was his way of letting us know that he could hear us. So we turned the volume down and became very careful about how loud we were being. But the banging kept up. Human Kebab said that maybe he's just being loud, that it's nothing to do with us. So we turned the volume back up and got back to business.

This show is going to fucking rule. Two new songs in the set!!

High Praise from the Radio Man

So a friend just told me she heard Edge 102 FM plug the show on Thursday... and the guy called me the most talented artist in this city!! That's a nice feather in the cap!
