The Easter Bunny

According to your recollection of things from when you were a child, is the Easter Bunny a regular looking rabbit that hops along leaving eggs? Or is he a big man-sized rabbit? I always pictured the Easter Bunny being six feet tall, plus the ears. He walked up on two legs, hopping when travelling great distances or when speed was required, and wearing a vest with a tie. What did the Easter Bunny look like in your mind?

My idea of him was generally the same. Minus the vest.. he was just a big white bunny. I really want a bunny as a pet... a cute, small one. That might be nice.

yeah my idea of him was pretty much the same as yours, only he was always a ridiculous colour. pink, purple, blue, yellow. maybe white sometimes. but not usually.

I also have to say, that he was pretty similar to what you are saying, usually white. pink maybe too. I think it can be traced to all those Easter time children books, illos etc.

my easter bunny was a man-sized bunny as well. he was always some brightly coloured bunny in a polkadotted bowtie and he had big buckteeth (of course) and always carried around a basket of obscenely large easter eggs but for some reason, none of the kids ever ended up with eggs so large or fancy-decorated... i guess that the easter bunny was a showoff... or pretty selfish. either way, i was a big fan.

Hm. I don't remember ever actually believing in the Easter Bunny. At the earliest I can recall, I knew my parents hid stuff around the house; it was just a fun game. But, as a pop culture icon, I always envisioned the Easter Bunny as a big dude in a bunny suit - probably because that's how he was portrayed in commercials and stuff.
